This resort started out as a dream project for Kalika and Preethika. Both owners were born and raised in Sri Lanka, and appreciated community values from a very early age. They moved to Canada and lived there for over 20 years with their two daughters Thanushi and Thisuri. Once their daughters were grown up, Kalika and Preethika decided it was time to come back home to their roots. The family was able to purchase this 7.5 acre nature reserve and built an eco-tourism destination with sustainable living as a key concept guiding their vision.

Kalika and Preethika, along with their SKR Hospitality Team, brought all of their experiences and heart to ensure that the guests at Sigiriya King's resorts were truly happy with their stay. They set high standards to ensure that every guest felt like they were part of the family and can experience the very best of Sri Lankan cuisine and hospitality. Within a short period of time since opening our doors, the positive feedback proved these claims to be true!

We hope that through our dream project, we can continue to inspire our guests to slow down and appreciate the beautiful wilderness around us.
